
CreTAN CULTURE PANORAMA
See, smell, taste, and touch a long-lost side of Crete. Join a 3-hour interactive experience, learning everything about the Cretan way of life, including old traditions, olive oil production, traditional cheeses, and authentic Cretan recipes. In this activity, you will participate in a guided tour of our family's museum, followed by a cheese-making session, and conclude with a cooking lesson.

Start with a tour of our museum and learn about olive oil production, olive harvesting, and how to assess olive oil quality. Discover Cretan herbs, wine and raki production, and honey-making. Continue with the cheese-making session, where you will milk the goats and help prepare two traditional Cretan cheeses—malaka and mizithra. Finally, our local chef, Despena, will guide you through your cooking lesson. In this hands-on experience, you will learn to prepare a traditional Cretan dish paired with a Cretan side dish while uncovering the secrets of Cretan cuisine. At the end of your visit, you will taste our homemade products, including olive oil, wine, raki, honey, carob products, and more.

The Cretan Cooking Recipe:
Dolmades (vegan and gluten-free) with a side of tzatziki (vegetarian) & Cretan rusk bread (dakos) with tomatoes, oregano, olive oil, and feta cheese.
