CreTAN CULTURE PANORAMA
See, smell, taste and touch a long-lost side of Crete. Join a 3-hour interactive experience, learning everything about the Cretan way of life, including old traditions, olive oil production, original types of cheese and authentic recipes of Crete. In this activity, you will have the chance to participate in a guided tour around the farm, followed by our cheese making activity, and ending with our cooking lesson.

Start with a tour around the farm and learn everything about olive oil production, olive harvesting and how to check the quality of olive oil. Discover everything about Cretan herbs, wine & raki production, as well as honey production. Continue with the cheese making activity, where you will have the chance to milk the goats and participate in the preparation of two original types of Cretan cheese – “malaka” & “mizithra”. Finally, our local chef Despena will be waiting for you to start your cooking lesson. Through this hands-on experience, you will be taught how to make a traditional Cretan recipe, combined with a Cretan side-dish, while learning the secrets of Cretan cooking. At the end of your visit, you can taste our homemade products, including olive oil, wine, raki, honey, carob products and many more.

Dolmades (vegan and gluten free) with a side of Tzatziki (vegetarian) & Cretan Rusk bread “Dakos” with tomatoes, oregano, olive oil & feta cheese
