This is a hands-on cheese-making experience. With the guidance of our local shepherd, you will have the chance to milk and feed the goats, help produce two types of cheese (malaka and mizithra), and learn the secrets of cheese-making in Crete. As you wait for mizithra to be ready—it takes about 20 minutes—we will invite you to a cheese tasting featuring two other famous Cretan cheeses: Gruyère and Anthotyros. At the end, you will taste the freshly made cheese you helped produce, accompanied by our homemade meze and raki!

 

Experience Highlights:

Enjoy a Cretan cheese tasting, while discovering the legends and myths of the island.
